Our place

Old timber, a village verandah, and produce from just around the corner.

We cook with what's close. Our salad greens and vegetables come from the growers four minutes down the road, local meat from @burringbarqualitymeats, and the coffee is a seasonal roasted blend, with a filter batch that changes as new beans land.

@thegourmetsaladhut

Greens and roasted local vegetables. You can’t get much more locally sourced than four minutes around the corner.

@burringbarqualitymeats

Local rib fillet, charcoal roasted for our specials.

@thebranches_

Our seasonal roasted blend in every cup.

@willysbeanscoffee

The filter batch. $5 a single cup, or $7 bottomless.

The Teakwood Lawn, sunny all winter's day long.

A sun-bathed garden spot for general dining. Pull up a chair for breakfast, or book it for a private gathering. Every so often it hosts one of our Teakwood events too, so keep an eye on Instagram.

For the little ones

Meet the Baby-tea-no.

Created right here at Teakwood, it's the best way for little ones to join tea time: their very own pot of plain milk, chocolate, or honey and cinnamon. A playground in a teapot, for $4.

  • Teakwood Bites: small plates from $12
  • Babyccinos for $3
  • Dogs welcome
  • Wheelchair-accessible parking, entrance, seating and toilet

WOW! What a find this place is. The food was delicious with incredibly quick service. The owner specifically came out with a toy for my son to keep him occupied so we could eat our food. The pricing is expected for the area but the serving sizes made it well worth the price, very generous proportions. Even the fresh bread was memorable. The cakes and baked goods also look incredible. Kid & dog friendly too.

DELIGHTFUL ✨ We stumbled on this place going for a scenic drive and decided to stop in for some breakfast. The food was beautiful and delicious. I had one of the best coffees of my life, the spritzer was an unexpected mix of flavours that I won’t soon forget. The staff were lovely and the food was quick!

Had a casual lunch here on our way south from Murwillumbah. Recently opened its just off the rail trail and offers up hearty fare. We enjoyed a fabulous toasted Ruben sandwich and a chicken burger. Right next door is a great antique shop selling all sorts of wonderful items. Well worth checking out.
